Hello, Haere Mai, and some Good Byes
Let's start with Hello.......
This month we are delighted to welcome new employees Dr Yindi Jiang, Rachel Tiplady, and Charlotte Hurst.
Yindi first graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Anatomy, before undertaking his dentistry degree with Honours. Following graduation Yindi worked at Nelson Hospital full time before joining Nelson Dental Centre, and during this time he was mentored by our own Dr Alex Munro. We are delighted to have Yindi join us. And so are our patients! We've had plenty of positive feedback about the treatment he provides.
Rachel Tiplady joins us on our reception desk two days a week. Rachel comes to us from a business and customer service background, and adds to the professionalism and enthusiasm of our reception staff. She's rapidly learning dental jargon and is enjoying the challenge of a new industry. Look for her smiling face on a Thursday or Friday.
Dr Charlotte Hurst is joining us in the practice one day a week. Charlotte graduated from Cardiff Univesity, Wales, in 2015. Before moving to New Zealand in January 2018, Charlotte spent time in general practice and the Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery department in her local hospital.
Now to Haere Mai.......
The main reason Yindi and Rachel have joined us is because two of our staff are currently on maternity leave. And in wonderful news, one of them has had her baby!
Welcome to Amelia, the brand new daughter of dentist Rachel Bunce. We're all completely thrilled for her and can't wait to have Amelia and Rachel come visit us.
Meanwhile our receptionist Emma is waiting patiently for the arrival of her second baby. Good luck Emma!
And those Good Byes.......
Emma and Rachel are both taking a year of maternity leave to enjoy time with their families. We'll be seeing them again next year.
We have also said good bye to the popular Dr Simon Wilson. Simon has returned to the Kapiti Coast to be near family. We do miss his boundless energy, and wish him all the very best in the next stage of his career.
As always with any change, we try to minimise the disruption to our patients and ensure you continue to receive care and attention of the highest quality. We look forward to seeing you soon.
