Rachel graduated from Otago University in 2010. She initially worked as a house surgeon in Dunedin before moving to Gisborne where she worked in private practice and for Ngati Porou Hauora at their clinic in Ruatoria.
She moved to Nelson in 2014 and started working at Nelson Dental Centre where she currently works one day a week.
She also works two days a week at the Nelson Hospital Dental Department and spends the rest of her time looking after her young daughter.
